The 2016 JEE Mains results are out and students from Nagpur have emerged with shining colours. Toppers from Nagpur From L to R : Arpit Kedia, Avani Viverkar, Charandeep Singh Bagga and Somansh Chordia.
From Nagpur, Arpit Kedia has secured top position in Nagpur. He got 285 out of 360 marks.
Similarly, other toppers from Nagpur are Somansh Chordia (277), Charandeep Singh Bagga (276), Avani Viverkar (256), Sourav Rai (268), Shovan Swain (264), Piyush Rathi (255), Paritosh Jawalikar (252), and Prajwal Bhende (252).
From Shivaji Science College, over 200 students have become eligible for JEE (Advanced) 2016 examination.

A farmer’s son from Buldhana, Vidarbha Narayan, who scored 72, is among the toppers from the SC category.Being a rural area Narayan a farmer son achieved a flying success apart for challenging conditions.
Mumbai students are among top scorers of JEE (Main) 2016, results of which were declared on 27th April, 2016. Preey Shah and Sriram B are among the toppers from Maharashtra. While Preey scored 330 out of 360, Sriram scored 315.
Thane-based student Dimple Kochar (score 291) is the topper amongst girls.
About 12 lakh candidates applied for JEE (Main) offline paper I and paper II which was held on April 3, 2016 and the online Paper I and paper II which was held on April 9 and 10, 2016. Admission to NITs, IITs and other centrally funded technical institutions will be based on 2016 JEE (Main) scores.
JEE (Advanced) on May 22, 2016
As per the schedule, a paper I of JEE (Advanced) is scheduled to take place on May 22, 2016 from 9 am to 12 noon, followed by paper II which will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm. Seven zonal IITs under the guidance of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) 2016 will conduct this exam.
All those top 1.98 lac candidates who cleared the JEE (Mains) are eligible to sit for the JEE (Advanced). The registration for the JEE (Advanced) exam will begin from the April 29, 2016 and conclude on April 4, 2016.
