Most of the colleges affiliated to NU had not submitted affiliation documents. The academic year commenced in the month of July, and the colleges did not take any step regarding submission of crucial documents to the varsity. The colleges were supposed to submit all the documents by the first week of September. However, the colleges woke up from the slumber only after protests by students.
Pramod Yeole explained that the university has the authority to reject the proposals of colleges as they violated the deadline. Since it was a question of over 1,500 students, the varsity decided to consider their issues at the eleventh-hour. The staff worked overtime till late evening and completed the formalities and issued hall tickets to students. He mentioned that all the colleges which were responsible for this delay would be punished.
