Nagpur's 11-year-old Joins Einstein and Hawking in Mensa IQ Society
11 year old Akhilesh Chandorkar of Nagpur is now a member of the Mensa IQ society by scoring 160 in the IQ test.
The membership for Mensa, the largest and oldest high-IQ society in the world is given to only those who have an IQ in the top two percent of the population which is measured by a recognised or approved IQ testing process.
Nagpur's 11-year-old Akhilesh Chandorkar is all set to join the list of extraordinary men like Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking in the Mensa IQ society. He appeared for the IQ test, also called the Mensa IQ test last month and scored an amazing score of 160. With this score, he has been compared to some of the most intelligent people in the history to walk on Earth .
The 11-year-old says that his parents had knowledge of the exam from some time now but were waiting for him to reach the minimum participation age, that is 10 years.
Chandorkar started preparing for the exam just three months before the exam by solving puzzles given online and in books. Also, he spent his vacations reading books.
Chandorkar sat for the exam in June, while on a family trip to Scotland and during the exam he found the questions easy though he felt second paper consumed more time and was expecting a score near to 140 marks. He was surprised when he got to know from his parents that he had scored 160 marks.
