AIMSA has released an official letter stating that the NEET PG aspirants are organizing a nationwide protest today from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. NEET PG 2022 exam is supposed to be held on 21st May and all the aspirants have been demanding the postponement of the exam. The matters are in the hands of the Supreme Court and the decision will be announced on 13th May 2022.

One of the main reasons that lead to the appeal of postponement is that the NEET PG 2021 counselling was delayed because of which the duration between the counselling process and NEET PG 2022 exam is too short to prepare for the exam. Aspirants want the exam to be postponed by at least 8-10 weeks.

Around 5000 interns were considered ineligible for the exam as their internship was delayed because our Prime Minister asked them to serve during the peak time of Covid. Aspirants have been requesting for the postponement of the exam for more than 20 days now. Several medical organization has also tried to reach the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW).

The nationwide protest has been organized to request our PM Narendra Modi to understand the genuine demands of the medical aspirants. All India Medical Students' Association (AIMSA) has also stated that "Its high time our pleas be heard. We request Honorable PM Narendra Modi sir to kindly understand our genuine demands and act sympathetically to provide justice for your own Covid Warriors. This is an emotional request from all the NEET PG aspirants."
