National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) Invites Applications for Animal Supervisor's Training Course
Applications have been invited by the National Institute of Nutrition for Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course. Candidates can apply till 20th August 2019, Tuesday.
The National Institute of Nutrition (abbreviated as NIN) has started inviting applications for its Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course. The eligible candidates from both private and government institutions can apply for this course offered by the institute.
The Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course of the National Institute of Nutrition will be conducted 5th September 2019 onwards. The programme will be carried forward for three months and will end on 29th November 2019. Only those applications that are forwarded via the proper channel will be considered for final selection. However, there is a provision of sending advance copies of the application form for consideration and tentative selection.

Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course Eligibility Criteria
The course of Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training comprises elaborate lectures by the staff of NIT as well as by some invited experts. Several important topics of laboratory animals’ sciences are included in the course like anatomy, nutrition, physiology, diseases, ethics, and experimentation. Experiential training is also given to the students of the Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course in various colonies. The course also includes a study tour to one of the selective cities so that students can see the state of the art animal facilities available there.
The eligibility criteria set by NIT for the Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course is given below. Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria before applying for the course.
- The candidate must have a minimum qualification of graduation or postgraduation. The bachelor’s or masters’ degree obtained by the candidate must be in Life Sciences with any of the subjects from Biology, Medical/ Veterinary Sciences, Pharmacology.
- The candidate should have proficiency in either English or Hindi because the medium of instruction during the course will be in these two languages only.
- Selection Criteria: The selection of applicants will be done purely at the discretion of the Director.
The applications for the Laboratory Animal Supervisor’s Training Course at NIT can be downloaded from the official website of the institute. Hard copies are also to be sent before the due date to the institute. The last date for receiving application forms for the course that are complete in all respects and are sent through the proper channel is 20th August 2019, Tuesday.
