National School of Drama (NSD) Diploma in Dramatic Arts Admissions 2020
The popular National School of Drama, also known as NSD is now inviting applications for their full-time three-year Diploma in Dramatic Arts or DDA programme.
The popular National School of Drama, New Delhi, also known as NSD is now inviting applications for their full-time three-year Diploma in Dramatic Arts or DDA programme. The world-renowned dramatic arts institute is one of its kind in India and is also an autonomous body.
There are only 26 seats available for the above-mentioned diploma course. Interested applicants can do so both in the online as well as offline mode.
NSD Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Dramatic Arts course
- Applicants must have completed a graduation degree from a recognised university with good marks.
- It is mandatory that a candidate should have been a part of at least six theatre productions.
- One must not be less than eighteen years of age or more than 30 years of age as on 1st July 2019. However, for reserved category candidates, the age limit is relaxed by five years.
- The applicant must also possess a working knowledge of both languages - Hindi & English.

NSD Application Process for DDA Course
Before applying, ensure that you have the following documents ready:
- 4 passport size photographs
- Testimonials
- Relevant certificate copies
Typically, there are only four ways to apply for the Diploma in Dramatic Arts at NSD. These are as follows:
- Login on the official website and fill the application form online by paying an application fee of Rs. 50. All necessary documents will have to be uploaded online.
- You can also download the application form from the website, fill it and send it to the admission office along with a demand draft of Rs. 150 payable to The Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi. Ensure that you put the form and draft in an envelope with ‘Application for Admission 2019-22’ written on it.
- You can also purchase the application form of the course from the Book Shop of NSD by paying Rs. 150 in cash. You can only buy between 10 am to 1 pm or 2 pm to 5 pm on all the working days.
- Lastly, you can also send in a request by post to the Dean, Academics, NSD at Bahawalpur House, Bhagwandas Road, ND-110001, with a demand draft of Rs. 225 payable at (as mentioned above) latest by April 15, 2019.
