NDA & NA (I) 2018 Exam Dates Announced

The Union Public Services Commission or UPSC has announced the dates for National Defence Academy & Naval Academy (I) 2018 or NDA & NA I Exam 2018 on its official website for recruitment to various posts in the Indian Army, Indian Air Force & Indian Navy.

Basis scores of this exam, approximately 415 posts in NDA as well NA will be filled. The NDA & NA exam is conducted twice every year for recruitment to the NDA as well as NA in two stages: Paper I & Paper II comprising of:

• Written Exam
• Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview

NDA & NA Application & Exam Dates 2018:

Admission will be given to:

• NDA: Army, Navy & Air Force wings for the 141st course
• NA: Indian Naval Academy for the 103rd course

Applicants for both these courses will be administered an e-admission certificate, 3 weeks before the NDA & NA 2018 exam date, which they can download from the official website of UPSC.

How to crack NDA & NA exam:

The NDA and NA exam 2018 will not be an easy nut to crack. With limited seats available, rest assured that the competition is going to be stiff.

The exam pattern of NDA & NA (I) exam comprises of 2 objective type papers: Mathematics & General Ability.

The 400 marks for Part B of the General Knowledge section is further sub-divided into:

Once you clear the written exam for NDA & NA (I) & (II) [which is to be conducted later in 2018], the real test is clearing the SSB Interview.

SSB interview is usually conducted 2-3 months after the written NDA & NA exam. The unique part about this is that you will randomly get a mail from the selection centre informing you about your shortlisted candidature for the SSB interview. There is no platform where you can check if you have qualified for the SSB interview or not. If you are one of the lucky ones who get the mail, you will need to set the date of reporting for the SSB interview.

Selection centers are based on your preferred choice of services**.

• If you choose Army, then you will be called to Bangalore, Bhopal, Allahabad, Kapurthala
• If you choose Navy, then you will be called to NSB Vizag
• If you choose Air Force, then you will be called AFSB in Bangalore, Dehradun, Gandhinagar

Once you report to your assigned centre, your batch will be allotted to a SSB board randomly. Again.

This is when the SSB interview process really begins. A grueling 5-day long interview process will begin and you will be adjudged on different skills like medical fitness, leadership skills, communication skills etc. If you clear these 5 days, you will be recruited to Armed Forces, Navy & Air Force and trained and educated for 3 years and graduate with a degree in hand.

The next and last stage of qualification is the IMA. NDA cleared candidates are sent to IMA for 1 year training and after passing out from IMA, the candidates are posted in their respective fields in officer cadre.
