NEET 2017: ACPMEC Publishes the Merit List for Gujarat
- Students from Gujarat who appeared for the NEET 2017 exam can now check their result online.
- 22,970 students from Gujarat have cleared the exam.
- These students will be eligible to apply for medical colleges in Gujarat.
Students from Gujarat who appeared for the NEET 2017 exam can now check their result online. The merit list of students has been published by the Admission Committee for Professional Medical Educational Courses (ACPMEC).
The students who have cleared the exam will be eligible to secure a seat in either of the medical, dental, homoeopathy or Ayurveda courses offered by colleges in Gujarat. Admissions will be done on the basis of NEET 2017 merit list.
The merit list will comprise the following information:
- NEET Roll Number
- Student Category
- NEET Score
- Percentile Rank
- All-India Rank
According to the officials, close to 60,425 students from Gujarat had appeared for NEET 2017 exam that was conducted on May 7, 2017. Out of these, about 22,970 students have cleared the exam for admission to different medical programmes.

In 2017, medical aspirants had to secure 131 marks out of 720 in order to be eligible for admission in medical programmes, whereas, reserved category students had to secure 107 marks out of 720.
Out of the total students who have qualified NEET 2017 from Gujarat, 11,658 belonged to the general category and 7,998 students were from OBC category. Also, the number of students who qualified through the ST category was 1,445, whereas, 1,869 students from SC category also qualified the exam.

There are a total of 3,630 seats in medical colleges of Gujarat along with 6,000 medical allied seats. According to reports, the merit list was uploaded after parents had appealed to the admission committee to put up the list of Gujarat-based students who had qualified NEET 2017.
