NEET 2017: Bengali Paper Difficulty Level under Review of CBSE

After receiving massive complaints about the differences in the difficulty level of Bengali and English medium question papers in NEET 2017 examination, CBSE has come forward to review the issue. Currently, CBSE is looking into the matter, and the official decision will be taken soon. Recently, students of Bengali medium protested at the office of Directorate of Medical Education and demanded re-examination. They also submitted a memorandum on the same.

For many days after the conclusion of NEET 2017 examination, CBSE has not commented on the issue. There were several complainants and massive protests by students and parents regarding the difficulty level of question paper in vernacular languages. Earlier, Education Minister of West Bengal also wrote to CBSE on the same.

Students criticised the board for not conducting the national level medical entrance examination in a uniform manner. There were also translation errors in the first five questions. Students have been in constant fear that they might lose marks and merit.

Students from Gujarat also claimed that Gujarati medium question paper was tougher than English-Hindi medium question paper. Parents demanded justice and raised their voice against the irregularity of the board in conducting the examination.

In the same way, a parent from Tamil Nadu claimed that NEET is a CBSE-centric examination, and the board gave CBSE-based questions in English medium question paper, and state syllabus based questions in Tamil medium question paper. She also filed a petition in High Court of Madras.

Now, students of Bengali medium are eagerly waiting for the response from CBSE on the issue.
