NEET 2017: CBSE Releases List of Debarred Candidates

  • The Central Board of Secondary Education - CBSE has issued the complete list of candidates who have been blacklisted from the NEET exam.

The official notice published by CBSE on the official website of NEET gives detailed information about the list of debarred candidates who were restricted from appearing from NEET-UG 2017 exam that took place on May 7, 2017. According to the observation made by CBSE, a total number of seven candidates indulged in unfair means or practices in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG 2017). These candidates have been debarred permanently or blacklisted by CBSE as per Rule 9.2 earlier laid down by the conducting body, and will not have any right to register or appear for NEET exam in future.

Out of the seven candidates who have been debarred permanently, five have been charged with impersonation, one for fabricating and manipulating the admit card and one for tearing the OMR Sheet. CBSE has also released the list of debarred candidates who indulged in unfair practices in NEET 2016 and AIPMT 2015.

CBSE has also made it clear that it would not tolerate any candidate indulging in malpractices in NEET. It is a national level medical entrance exam and resorting to unfair means by the candidates during the exam would lead to severe punishment, it indicated.

Below is a list of some of the unfair means released by CBSE from which the candidates shall to refrain themselves during the NEET exam: -

  • Prepare material for copying
  • Paying someone to write the exam
  • Assisting other candidates to indulge in malpractice
  • Tearing any page of test booklet and answer sheet
  • Smuggling out the question paper or a part of it
  • Uploading/ Affixing fabricated photograph on the application form/ admit card
