- Allahabad HC had directed CBSE to consider it while the SC has now put a stay on the same.
The High Court of Allahabad had issued an order that directed Central Board of Secondary Education or CBSE to grant five marks in NEET-UG 2017 examination due to a wrong question. The order also directed CBSE to revise the UG merit list for the admission to medical courses. Allahabad HC passed the order on August 10, 2017, after a NEET candidate, Saumitra Ginodia filed a petition seeking a grant of five marks. The petitioner claimed that she was awarded only four marks instead of five before it was noticed that there was a mistake in the question. Therefore, the HC directed CBSE to award five marks not only to the petitioner but also to all the candidates with the similar issue.
