NEET aspirants from Mumbai tensed over far-off exam centres. The exam centres allocated to many students in the city are far-off from where these students live. One of the students living in Virar has been allocated a centre at Kharghar for his NEET exam.

The exam is to take place on 6 May 2018. In one of the similar cases like this, a NEET aspirant from Kandivali has been allocated the exam centre in Nhava in Rajgad. Most of the aspirants in the city were expecting the exam centre to be nearby so that they could reach the exam centre well before time and to avoid any last minute chaos.

As per the reports, parents are anxious regarding the way their children have been allocated the exam centres for NEET exam. Various parents have decided to book a hotel room a night before the entrance exam to avoid any delays and traffic in the morning. One of the parents whose daughter has been allocated the exam centre in Rajgad said that he was under the impression that centre allocation is on the first-come-first-served basis. But looking at the scenario it seems that the allotment is system generated.

He also said that this is going to cause a lot of chaos on the exam day and unnecessary stress to both parents and students. The authorities should understand that students have been preparing for the exam for a year and it is not right to give them such stress when the exam date is just around the corner, added the parents.

However, as per CBSE, the only reason they have given two slots for the exam is to avoid chaos and overcrowding. The two slots for students to enter their centers are: 7.30 to 8.30 am & 8.30 to 9.30 am.
