Candidates in ‘Hijab’, ‘Burkha’, ‘Kara’, and ‘Kirpan’ will be allowed to appear for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 that is to be conducted on September 12, 2021. The exam is being held amid the ongoing COVID-19 for which the agency has released some guidelines which are mentioned on the NEET 2021 Admit Card. NTA has also set NEET 2021 dress code which is as follows:

Candidates must wear sandals/ slippers with low heels on the NEET exam day.

NTA will not allow closed footwear like shoes/boots in the exam centres.

Footwear or shoes with thick soles will not be allowed

Clothing with large buttons will not be allowed.

Light clothes with half sleeves and long sleeves are not permitted.

Those who wear specific attire for religious or other reasons will have to report to the exam center for frisking.

NEET 2021 Dress Code for Female Candidates 

Have a look at the NEET 2021 dress code for female candidates in detail below:

  • Female candidates will have to wear a mask and gloves as per COVID 19 guidelines
  • Female candidates are advised not to wear clothes that have elaborated embroidery, or flowers/ buttons/ brooches these items are prohibited in NEET 2021.
  • No clothes with full arm-length sleeves should be worn on the day of examination. 
  • Following the dress code of NEET 2021, female candidates should wear half sleeve clothes.
  • Jeans with big pockets and fashionable embroidery are not allowed on NEET 2021 exam day.
  • It is advised not to wear high heels and thick sole shoes rather wear open sandals.
  • Female candidates must avoid wearing any kind of jewelry like earrings, nose rings, rings, pendants, necklaces.

NEET 2021 Dress Code for Male Candidates 

The NEET 2021 dress code for male candidates is as follows:

  • Male candidates should ensure that they wear half sleeve shirts/T-shirts as full sleeve shirts are not allowed on the NEET 2021 exam day
  • Clothes worn by male candidates should be light and should not have multiple pockets/ zips/ buttons.
  • Trousers and simple pants are a preferred NEET dress code 2021 for male candidates.
  • Kurta pajama is not allowed on the day of the NEET examination.
  • Shoes are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. It is advisable that candidates wear sandals which have thin sole.

Due to the ongoing pandemic candidates will have to carry their own water bottle, sanitizer in a clear plastic bottle along with masks and gloves. The authorities will provide masks to the candidates before entering the examination hall and candidates will be asked to wear the freshly provided masks during the exam. Those appearing in the NEET 2021 exam will have to ensure that reach the exam centre as per the staggered entry time slot mentioned on the admit card.
