NEET Expected Cutoff Marks 2024 based on previous years' trends
NEET cut off 2024 is fixed in terms of percentile while it varies for raw marks. Analysing previous trends, NEET Expected Cutoff Score 2024 in both marks and percentile parameters is provided here.
NEET Expected Cutoff Marks 2024: For admissions to Undergraduate Medical Courses, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has set certain guidelines concerning the cutoff. Accordingly, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified that a candidate belonging to the General or EWS category must score above the 50th percentile mark to be eligible for the NEET counselling, be it at the national or state level. Similarly, the cutoff mark for the reserved categories of OBC, SC, and ST is set at the 40th percentile.
Even if the cutoff in percentile is fixed, variation in cutoff raw marks is observed yearly. This is because the conversion of raw marks to percentile depends on the number of candidates appearing for the exam and their overall performance. If more candidates do well in the exam, the value of marks will be reduced i.e., the same marks will have a lower percentile and vice-versa. Going by our analysis, the NEET 2024 expected cutoff score in raw marks for all categories is outlined here.
