NEET PG 2021: Appeal Made to DGHS for Removing Ineligible Candidates from AIQ Mop-up Round
NEET PG 2021 counselling round candidates appealed to the DGHS for disqualifying the students who have applied for choice filling rounds in the AIQ mop-up ignoring their ineligibility.
NEET PG 2021 counselling aspirants wrote a letter to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) claiming that some state candidates completed their registration and choice filling round for the NEET PG 2021 counselling mop-up round for seats of AIQ (All India Quota) although they were ineligible to do so as per the MCC’s guidelines.
Owing to such misconduct on the part of these candidates, aspirants also requested the DGHS to provide some relief to the candidates who have adhered to the guidelines along with the removal of unqualified candidates from the provisional result of the mop-up round prior to its publication. There is a demand for states to provide DGHS with the list of students who have joined followed by scrutiny to weed them out.
The letter read “With all due respect we would like to bring forward the following points that clearly mention and provide that such an activity accounts to deliberate seat blocking” thereby referring to MCC guidelines on the eligibility of candidates to participate in the mop-up round.
Although these guidelines have been made very clear, candidates alleged that “many state joined candidates have registered, participated in AIQ mop-up round counselling and filled their choices to avail a seat through AIQ despite ineligibility to participate as they already have reported and joined their seats. Thus leading to deliberate seat blocking.”
NEET PG 2021 Counselling: States have Allowed Resignation and Free Exit
According to the letter of students to the DGHS, some states like Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal have also issued the same advisory as per the MCC guidelines and implemented it. But some states like Maharashtra, Telangana, and Gujarat have ignored the advisory of MCC thereby allowing resignation and free exit to candidates who have already joined. Their documents have been released by the choice-locking round as well as registration for the mop-up round.
They have requested the MCC for taking strict actions against those candidates as seen necessary in order to provide an example to the future NEET exams. Such actions need to be prevented from happening.
Some aspirants of the NEET PG 2021 exam have alleged in a letter to the DGHS claiming that state candidates have registered and participated in the mop-up round counselling of the NEET PG 2021 exam. Despite clear guidelines from the MCC, some states facilitated their students to fill their choice and avail seats through the AIQ although they already reported and joined with their seats- leading to seat blocking.
