NEET PG 2023: NMC likely to respond on postponement issue soon as Telangana petitioners submit representation
As per the suggestion of the Telangana High Court, petitioners have submitted a representation to the Ministry of Health seeking NEET PG 2023 postponement by 3 months.
NEET PG 2023: The Telangana High Court disposed of the plea by the NEET PG 2023 aspirants on February 15, 2023. NEET PG 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on March 5, 2023, which the aspirants are requesting for postponement. Previously, candidates had also demanded the internship date to be extended, which was accepted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, and is now extended to August 11. But with the extension of the internship dates, the gap between the exam date and the counselling date has increased. To reduce the number of days, the candidates have requested for postponement of the exam date by 6-8 weeks.
During the Telangana HC hearing on February 15, the counsel of the National Medical Commission clearly stated that it refuses to postpone the exam date. However, the Telangana HC has requested the NMC to try and postpone the exam date if possible and to notify the NEET PG 2023 aspirants as early as possible. NEET PG 2023 aspirants have been asked to file a fresh representation to NMC and the Ministry of Health seeking NEET PG 2023 postponement. However, the decision of postponement is completely in the hands of Ministry of Health and NMC.

Candidates may now expect the NMC to look into the matter seriously, and take the request by the Telangana HC into consideration. In case of any postponement of the NEET PG 2023 exam date, candidates will be informed through the official website. It is advisable for candidates to check the official website- nbe.edu.in frequently for any updates. If there is no intimation on the same, candidates may prepare themselves to appear for the exam on March 5th, 2023 as per the pre-scheduled date. If the exam date is postponed, the revised date will also be announced by the officials.

The registration window for the candidates who were qualified to appear for NEET PG 2023 after the extension of the internship date was closed on February 12th, 2023. The window for correction of the application form is now open, until February 17th, 2023. All NEET PG 2023 registered candidates are advised to log in to the portal and check their details. The admit card will be issued based on the details submitted by the candidates on the application form. The admit card will be released 7-10 days ahead of the exam date for NEET PG 2023.
