NEET PG Detailed Exam Analysis 2024 (Out): Difficulty level, good attempts

NEET PG 2024 examination was conducted on August 11, in two shifts from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM to 7 PM. As per the initial paper analysis of NEET PG 2024, the difficulty level of the question paper from Shift I was moderate. The Shift 2 Paper was more difficult than the question paper of the previous shift.

NEET PG Detailed Exam Analysis 2024: Candidates who have appeared for the NEET PG 2024 examination on August 11, from 9 AM to 12:30 PM in Shift 1 and 3:30 pm to 7 pm in Shift 2, can check out the detailed NEET PG 2024 exam analysis provided here. Shift 1 and Shift 2 of the NEET PG 2024 Exam have concluded. A detailed analysis of both Shift I and II suggests that the papers were moderate to difficult. Almost 30 - 40 questions were on the easier side, 55 - 60 questions on the tougher, and 90 - 100 questions were moderately difficult in the Shift II NEET PG 2024 question paper. Questions from the ENT section were tougher in the Shift II paper than in the previous Shift. As per the Shift I Paper analysis, 150 - 160 questions were good attempts and almost 15% to 20% of the questions were on the difficult side. 

The majority of students could answer 180 questions. As per the NEET PG Detailed Exam Analysis 2024, the difficulty level of the Shift I paper was slightly higher than Shift II.  NEET PG 2024 question paper consists of 200 questions, each carrying 4 marks. NEET PG Detailed Exam Analysis 2024 of Shift 1

As pef the NEET PG 2024 Exam Analysis based on students' reactions, the Shift 1 exam comprised a combination of clinical and image based questions. The clinical based questions comprised about 50-60% of the NEET PG Question Paper 2024 for Shift 1 while the image based questions were about 30% of the entire NEET PG Question Paper 2024. There was a total of 15% one-liner questions in the entrance exam as well. The overall difficulty level of the NEET PG Question Paper 2024 Shift 1 was moderate.

  • NEET PG 2024 Exam was of moderate difficulty level as per the candidates' recorded responses.
  • The NEET PG Question Paper 2024 was lengthy and time-consuming. 
  • The NEET PG 2024 Exam comprised a good number of clinical questions, more in number than the previous years in comparison. 
  • In the total of 200 questions asked in the exam, there were about 15% one-liner questions, 30% image-based questions and 60% clinical questions in the NEET PG 2024 Exam.
  • The NEET PG Question Paper 2024 mostly followed the prescribed syllabus for preparation, however, about 5% of the questions were deemed out of syllabus as per the students' reactions. 
  • The most difficult section of the NEET PG 2024 Exam was the Clinical Section.
