NEET-PG 2020 Highlights: Check State-Wise Qualified Candidates

NBE, the body responsible for conducting the NEET-PG 2020 examination has announced the results of the exam, which was conducted on 5th Jan 2020. Here are some of the highlights of NEET-PG 2020 exam, such as total registered and qualified candidates and state-wise qualified candidates.

On 5th Jan 2020, the National Board of Examination (NBE) conducted the postgraduate entrance exam of NEET-PG 2020. A total of 1,67,102 candidates had registered themselves for the examination, however, only 1,60,888 candidates had appeared for the exam, including domestic and international category candidates as well.

The NBE was also able to release the NEET-PG 2020 results a day prior to the specified time, i.e. on 30th Jan 2020. Many candidates were able to qualify the exam this year as well.

Note:

The data that have in the table above have been recorded as per the states where the applicants obtained their MBBS degree.

As per the data mentioned above, a total of 89,549 students have been able to qualify the NEET-PG 2020 examination, out of the total of 1,60,888 applicants who attempted the exam. It is important to note that the candidates who have qualified the NEET-PG 2020 exam, does not mean direct admissions to the different PG medical colleges in India.

Students will still be required to go through the NEET-PG 2020 counselling rounds under the All India Quota or their respective state-quota. As per NBE, 50% of the PG medical seats across medical colleges in India will be reserved for the All India Quota, meanwhile, the rest will be divided as per the state government norms.
