NEET PG Result Controversy 4 October 2024 SC Hearing: The hearing for the transparency plea regarding the NEET PG results in the Supreme Court is generating a lot of buzz among students. The eagerly awaited announcement of the counselling schedule is contingent upon the Supreme Court's decision on the results transparency case. During the last hearing on September 27, CJI DY Chandrachud indicated that the matter would be taken on 4th October 2024 and emphasized the need for the presence of the Union of India (UOI) or Assistant Solicitor Generals (ASGs) to assist the court if the UOI did not appear.

The petitioners have expressed concerns about the normalisation process and alleged discrepancies in the NEET PG 2024 exam results, urging for greater transparency in the result declaration process. They specifically seek the release of answer keys and a detailed explanation of the evaluation methodology used to determine final scores. The NEET PG exam selects candidates for postgraduate medical programs in government and private medical colleges. Students are concerned about the low ranks and are requesting the NBE to release the final answer keys and explain the marking system.

NEET PG 2024 exam was conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) on August 11, and the results were announced on August 23. A group of 19 students filed a petition with the Supreme Court, citing concerns over lack of transparency and arbitrary last-minute changes in the exam's conduct. Registration for NEET PG 2024 Counselling Round 1 commenced on September 20, 2024.  Candidates can register for NEET PG 2024 counselling on mcc.nic.in. The counselling schedule has not been released yet, so students should check the official website for updates. NEET PG is an entrance test for MD/MS and PG diploma courses in medical institutions across India.
