NEET UG 2025 Expected Changes: Key Proposals from Expert Committee
The committee has proposed the following key reforms for NEET UG 2025:
- Mode of Examination: For NEET UG 2025, the committee recommends a "Hybrid" mode of examinations, where the original question papers are to be sent to the exam centres digitally, and the aspirants are to respond to them manually on papers.
- Multi-Stage Exam: Similar to JEE, the NEET UG 2025 is expected to be conducted in two stages to ensure that each aspirant is accessed thoroughly. This is only to manage the large number of aspirants.
- Increase in NTA Staff Members: NTA usually uses temporary workers for each examination, so, instead, hiring full-time employees will contribute in managing the exams and better organization.
- Strengthening Data Security: In order to lessen reliance on outside centres, the committee recommends that the NTA take control of more exam centres and emphasizes the significance of enhancing data security.
- Lowering the Risk of Paper Leaks: The committee suggests distributing question papers digitally and releasing them closer to exam time in order to reduce the possibility of paper leaks. Security would be enhanced by this, particularly in light of the recent NEET-UG paper leak problems.
- Limiting Attempts at Exams: Instead of allowing candidates to take the NEET-UG exam indefinitely, the committee suggests capping the number of attempts. This modification would improve exam fairness and motivate students to study hard.
