NEET UG Counselling 2022: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducted the registrations for NEET UG counselling from October 11 to 17, while the choice filling is held from October 14 to 18. The candidates who have registered and paid the registration fee before the given deadline are eligible to go for choice filling, a mandatory activity for participation in the counselling rounds. Through the choice filling, the candidates must enter their institute-course preferences based on which (and their merit rank), the seat allotment will be processed.

NEET UG Counselling 2022: Instructions for Choice Filling
Important instructions for NEET UG choice filling are as listed below:
- The choice filling must only be done through the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in. The choice filling is not available on the websites of NTA or NBE.
- The choice filling is a mandatory activity without which the candidate, although registered, will not be considered for seat allotment.
- Without the payment of the registration fee, the candidate cannot proceed with choice filling.
- The choice filling for each round (except the stray vacancy round) will be carried out separately, and for each round, the candidates must either modify or resubmit the same choice filling option form to be considered for that round. Fresh applicants shall submit a fresh option form.
- The same choice filling form is applicable for AIQ/ Deemed/ Central Universities//B.Sc. Nursing/AIIMS/JIPMER/AMU/BHU.
- A candidate can submit any number of preferences, i.e., no upper limit.
- The choices can be edited any number of times before the deadline. However, the choices once locked cannot be modified under any circumstances. Once the deadline is crossed, the choices as available will be automatically locked.
- To get an idea about the institute-course option likely to be allotted based on their merit rank, the candidates can refer to the previous year’s cutoff rankings.
- The candidates are advised to not wait until the last date/time to fill out the choices.
