Supreme Court’s Judgement on NEET UG Row 2024: In a recent development on the ongoing NEET UG row 2024 hearing in the Supreme Court of India. The apex court on Thursday, July 18 has given a breakthrough judgement, ordering the National Testing Agency to publish the centre-wise results for all candidates for NEET UG exam 2024. NTA, the conducting agency for the national-level medical entrance examination, will have to share the results for all centres across the country after masking the identities of the candidates. This judgement has come amidst the increasing agitation of NEET applicants and their families due to the alleged paper-setting controversy through NTA.
NEET UG Controversy 2024: Supreme Court Orders NTA to share Centre-wise Results
The apex court bench headed by CJI DY Chandrachud and two other judges, Justice JB Pardiwala and Justice Manoj Misra passed a judgement while hearing the petition on NEET UG paper leak controversy 2024. The Supreme Court has asked the agency to publish the data of NEET UG results of all candidates along with the list of their centres. Although, the NTA has to mask the identities of all applicants until asked by the court.
The court has given a deadline of Saturday noon to share the result on its official website. This development in the continuation of the NEET row 2024 is being seen as a sign of relief between the candidates. The court has passed this order to check the allegation of the petitioner regarding some selected exam centres being compromised.
The Supreme Court bench asked the NTA to share the centre-wise NEET UG results before adjourning the proceeding for Thursday. This was announced after Senior Advocate Narender Hooda, who led the case for the petitioner complained that it was impossible to know the marking pattern for each centre and understand the anomalies.
