CBSE will put out certificates of previous years online. As for security is concerned, it will have a digitally verified signature and will be as good as a true copy with PKI encrypted QR code- a safety mechanism against duplicating or tampering.
The board is also planning to bring down the cost of the duplicate certificate. Soon it will introduce an online payment mode. It will also ease the process of authentication. Any organisation seeking verification of certificates or of marks or even date of birth will be able to do so. But for that, they have to register online.
