New Entrepreneurship Development Program Launched for Startups

TiE Hyderabad and Woxsen School of Business have announced to introduce a new program “TiE-Woxsen Entrepreneurship Development Program 2017” to handhold the startups. This programme is launched to provide a platform to startup entrepreneurs to connect with each other and enhance their entrepreneurship skills.

Under this programme, twenty start-ups will be selected to go through a workshop of six days including two weekends. The program will also comprise of knowledge sharing sessions by the faculties of Woxsen School of Business and also from the entrepreneurs and captains of industries from different sectors.

The last date to apply is June 20, 2017.

Veen Pula, the chairman of Woxsen School of Business while encouraging the entrepreneurs said it is necessary to inspire the young startups with the fodder of advanced techniques and industry updates so that they can strategize the next move.

Pradeep Mittal, the president of TiE Hyderabad explaining the motive of the programme said that according to the startup trend these days, many ventures are not able to succeed as the mortality rate is increasing. There can be various factors behind this. The most important one is to prepare the startup founder with the required persistence that is to be nurtured continuously. This program is a step towards the nurturing needed.

A recent industry study revealed surprising facts about the startups in India. According to that, only one in ten start-ups are able to survive in the market for more than five years. It states the lack of ability in entrepreneurs for solving different testing factors in the entrepreneurship cycle as the major reason.
