NID Commences Admission Schedule 2020
National Institute of Design (NID) has pushed its admission dates ahead for the academic year 2020-2021. The NID admission schedule 2020 will be released by the end of May.
NID (National Institute of Design) had released a notification some time back informing that the process of NID admissions has been deferred due to the spread of Coronavirus. The official website of NID exam had later stated in a more recent notification that the fresh schedule of NID DAT mains for M.Des admission will comprise an online interaction round and it will commence from July 6, 2020. Along with that, the schedule for NID result date for B.Des/ GDPD admissions was also announced later.
Further, it has to be noted by the candidates that NID admit card for all the courses including B.Des, M.Des, GDPD was issued once the new NID exam dates were out. The selection criteria of NID for both B.Des/ GDPD and M.Des have been changed this year.
These integral steps have been taken by the NID admission cell keeping in view the nation-wide lockdown due to the outbreak of coronavirus. The exam authorities of NID have taken the crucial steps of postponing the current admission cycle in order to ensure the safety of students and their families seeking admission in the best colleges of NID.

As per the released notification, the admission process for M.Des DAT Mains (Interview and Studio Test) are postponed for the following mentioned disciplines.

As per the official website, the new dates and the new schedule for the NID Admission 2020 that were released are being followed by the institute for conducting admissions. The M.Des admissions of NID 2020 have already commenced on July 6, 2020 and in that students have to appear for an online interaction round. The results of M.Des (Prelims) had been announced on February 21, 2020 and that of B.Des and GDPD (Prelims) were declared on May 3, 2020.
