NIFT Entrance Exam was held on February 14, 2021, in the offline mode. The first slot of the exam, i.e. CAT (Creative Ability Test) was successfully conducted from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The second session of NIFT, i.e. GAT (General Ability Test), was held from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Most of the candidates found the NIFT exam to be moderately difficult. The current affairs section in the NIFT GAT exam was reported to be a little tricky. As per the feedback, aspirants had sufficient time to solve the NIFT CAT questions. The NIFT Result is likely to be released in February/ March 2021 and the answer key has been released on February 17, 2021.
National Institute of Fashion Technology conducts the NIFT Entrance Exam every year for admission to B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech & MFM courses. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT GAT and NIFT CAT exams depending on the courses they have chosen.

Detailed Analysis of NIFT GAT 2021
The NIFT GAT 2021 had a total of 100 and 120 questions for B.Des and M.Des courses respectively that were designed to assess the Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability and General Knowledge & Current Affairs of the candidates. B.F.Tech had a total of 150 questions.
Out of all the questions in the paper, B.Des applicants found the Current Affairs section to be the most tricky one as some questions were difficult while others were easy. The Maths section was reported to be difficult while the English section was comparatively easy. The Quantitative Ability section comprised of topics such as speed and time, number systems, numerical ability and many more.
As per student feedback, the Analytical Ability analysed the student's observation and their ability to gather logic and draw inferences from the given information. All the questions that were a part of GK & Current Affairs were based on Brand and brand ambassadors, Nobel Peace Prize, sports, awards, Joe Biden, Coronavirus vaccine etc.
Further, the candidates who appeared for the B.F.Tech exam considered questions based on the Analytical & Logical Ability the most tricky and difficult ones. The overall exam difficulty level was moderate.
Detailed Analysis of NIFT CAT 2021
The CAT exam of NIFT 2021 had only 3 questions of 100 marks. The exam went on for 180 minutes duration and candidates will be judged on their innovative approach, creative skills and ability to draw. As per the reports, aspirants had sufficient time to solve the NIFT CAT exam and it didn't require a lot of intense drawing techniques.
One of the three questions that was asked in the exam carried 40 marks and it asked the candidates to select any musical instrument in order to depict any four desired festivals. They were provided with the liberty to modify the shape, colour and pattern of the selected musical instrument to showcase a particular festival. In the second question, applicants had to take inspiration from a webinar to design two options of virtual spaces. The third questions asked candidates to draw an emoji on 'Good Morning', 'Good Night', 'Don't know', 'See you' or 'Shhh'. Both these questions carried 30 marks each.
