NIN Invites Applications for Pre-clinical Drug Development Course
The National Institute of Nutrition has started inviting applications for its course on pre-clinical drug development and it is called 'Train the Educator'. Interested candidates can apply for the course and the late date for application submission is 30th April 2019.
The National Institute of Nutrition Hyderabad, abbreviated as NIN, is organising a course called ‘Train the Educator’ on ‘Developing and Sustaining India’s Capacity for Preclinical Drug Discovery’. This course will be conducted by the institute in association with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the UK-India Education and Research Initiative and will be of a duration of five days. The applications for this course have been invited by the National Institute of Nutrition and interested academicians can apply for it.
The course will be held in Hyderabad at ICMR- National Institute of Nutrition. It will be conducted between 8th July 2019 and 12th July 2019 and is especially designed for trainers and educators who have an interest in continuing development professionally in laboratory animal sciences.

The objective of the ‘Train the Educator’ course has is to boost the capabilities of the country with respect to preclinical drug development by formulating and providing a sustainable programme of education. The programme will not be limited only to education but will also cater to the training and will provide opportunities for continuing professional development for biotechnology entrepreneurs and pre-clinical laboratory animal scientists.
‘Train the Educator’ will be a useful course for learning outcomes and curriculum that are relevant for industries. It is a course with standards that are recognised internationally and will also help entrepreneurs and scientists to develop professionally in the field of laboratory animal sciences. The course is also aimed at making a pan-Indian network of these and alike trainers.
