NIT Andhra Pradesh Partners with BETA CAE Systems to Train Students in Computer-aided Engineering
The National Institute of Technology has signed a contract with BETA CAE Systems to empower students with industry knowledge preparing them for the job market.
The National Institute of Technology has signed a contract with BETA CAE Systems to enrich students with industry-specific operations and make them ready for the present employment market through competent supervision of the institute. Professor C S P Rao, director, NIT Andhra Pradesh, and Stavros Kleidarias, CEO, BETA CAE Systems signed the agreement.
The collaboration is meant to empower students with practical knowledge and expose them to the ongoing metamorphosis in the field of engineering which is essential for the development of job market skills. The partnership seeks to establish a mediating ground between academic education and industry demands. The 180 hours of the syllabus will comprise of pre and post-processor software training and the course will be introduced in the third year of the Bachelor of Engineering studies which will come to an end in the final year.

As per the statement of Prof. CSP Rao, both the institute and the company will look out for areas of research and development and the research areas will be jointly worked upon by the company personnel and students and faculty of the institute. The company and the institute are likely to recognize and map out suitable programmes to impart practical skills to students with the motive of enhancing their employment potential.

Mr. Stavros Kleidarias, CEO, BETA CAE Systems said that the institute and the company may conduct academic conferences, seminars, and workshops to enhance the capacities of the students in the area of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE).
