NIT Warangal Inks Pact with Prominent Taiwanese Universities
- NIT Warangal will collaborate with a number of Taiwan-based universities with an objective to focus on joint research programmes, student and faculty exchange and academia-industry cooperation.
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal has signed a pact with the top universities of Taiwan for different academic and research projects. The MoU was signed during NIT Warangal's Director's Mr. N.V. Ramana Rao to Taiwan recently.
The visit was a part of a high-level Indo Taiwanese delegation of Directors and other renowned personalities of Indian universities. It was organized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in association with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Centre in India from 19th to 24th June 2018.
The MoU has been signed for collaboration with National Formosa University, National Chung Chen University, National Chin-Yi University of Technology, Asia University and National Formosa University which are all based in Taiwan. According to Prof Ramana Rao, the pact between NIT Warangal and Taiwan universities will help build strong relations between the two countries and will also offer students excellent global exposure and opportunities.

The collaboration between NIT Warangal and Taiwan universities will focus on joint research programmes, exchange of faculty members, student exchange programmes and joint academia-industry cooperation.

NIT Warangal is a public engineering institute that was established in the year 1939. It is a renowned institution of technical education that offers a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The admission to the B.Tech programmes is on the basis of JEE Main exam and the admission to M.Tech programme is on the basis of GATE.
