NLU Delhi Hosts 7th Convocation Ceremony; 167 Degrees Awarded
NLU Delhi hosted its 7th convocation ceremony on 17th August 2019. The varsity awarded a total of 167 degrees to graduating students which included 6 Ph.D., 78 LLM, and 83 BA LLB degrees.
The 7th convocation of the National Law University Delhi took place in Delhi on August 17th. 167 degrees were awarded by the University to the graduating students that include 83 BA LLB, 78 LLM, and 6 Ph.D. degrees.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ranjan Gogoi, Chief Justice of India and the Special Guest of Honor was Arwind Kejriwal, CM of Delhi. There were many other dignitaries present during the occasion which includes Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, Justice D. N. Patel; Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia; Chief Secretary, Delhi Government, Mr. Vijay Kumar Dev, and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw.
Ranjan Gogoi, Chief Justice of India during his convocation address mentioned that Professor Upendra Baxi, Dean, Faculty of Law is the man behind his success. He further advised the graduating students about the success mantra of life and that there are no shortcuts in life and a lawyer should always keep his/her mind open.
The varsity also awarded 13 old students of NLU for their accomplishments in different fields like Judicial Examinations, Civil Services, and also for obtaining Fellowships in reputed international institutions.

All the graduating students were excited to start the new phase of life and are looking forward to their career as a lawyer and some of the graduating students also have plans to study further. Some students are planning to take jobs in MNCs as corporate lawyers.
