The National Law University (NLU) Delhi has welcomed criticism by increasing the seats of LL.M. course (Master of Law) from 40 to 80. Students criticised the varsity’s move for increasing the seats after conducting the entrance exam. The results of the LL.M. entrance test were announced on July 02, 2018. There were also rumours that the varsity is trying to grant admission to some of the students through the back door. However, the officials of the varsity clarified that the decision was taken to benefit the students. Over the years, aspirants have been requesting for the increase in the number of seats in LL.M. course.
Earlier, NLU Delhi announced 40 seats in LL.M. course, out of which, five seats are reserved for international students. The varsity had conducted the entrance test on May 06, 2018, to fill 40 seats in LL.M course. However, the recent notification to increase the seats from 40 to 80 led to chaos. Even though the officials confirmed that all the seats are filled based on AILET 2018 entrance exam, many of the aspirants were happy with the decision of the varsity.
