NLU Odisha to Reserve 25% of Seats for Local Students
- The government of Odisha has approved the reservation policy for the in-state law candidates at NLU Cuttack.
- Apart from NLU Cuttack, there are six other NLUs that already follow a state reservation policy during admissions.
Chief Minister of Odisha, Mr. Naveen Patnaik has approved National Law University, Cuttack’s proposal to reserve 25% of seats for local students in the varsity. Through this move, local students, who are looking forward to seeking admission in NLU Cuttack, will be at an advantage. The similar reservation policy is already prevalent in six NLUs across the country. It has been long-standing demanding by the law aspirants of Odisha to reserve seats for local students in NLU.

Eligibility Norms for 25% Reservation: -
- It is mandatory for the students of Odisha to score 60% of marks in Class 12 to be eligible for admission to NLU Cuttack.
Reserving a certain proportion of seats for local students is being considered as a positive step taken by the Government of Odisha. Many states have their own reservation policies for local students for the admission to different courses.
Recently, NLU Delhi has released the dates for AILET (All India Law Entrance Test) 2018. AILET 2018 is scheduled to take place on May 6, 2018. AILET is conducted for the admission to Ph.D., one-year LLM and five-year B.A LLB course.

The online application process for AILET 2018 will begin in the first week of January 2018. AILET exam score is mandatory to seek admission in NLUs across the country. It is time for the aspirants to begin their preparation for AILET 2018.
