The fake notice circulated on the internet stated that all government polytechnic and private colleges will have to conduct an exit exam for all the diploma degrees from 2019-2020.
Vice Chairman, AICTE, Dr. M.P. Poonia informed that it is not for the first time when such fake and misleading news has been circulated about the apex body of technical education (AICTE). Same news like this about AICTE engineering exit exam also become viral, and AICTE gave the clarity about the same on 20th November 2018.

The All India Council for Technical Education is an apex body of technical body of technical education in India. It comes under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD). The main role of AICTE is to manage, regulate, and plan technical and management education in India. AICTE's grant of approval is mandatory for institutes to change the curriculum, shift to other location, introduce new courses etc.
