No Negative Marking in M.Phil Test of Lucknow University

Lucknow University has come with fresh updates that it would not offer any negative marking in the MPhil entrance test. There are a total of 250 seats for specialisation in nine subjects under the M.Phil degree. To appear in the test, the candidates must have a minimum of 50% qualifying marks in the entrance test.

Anil Mishra, the admission coordinator of the university said that the entrance test would be of 90 minutes duration. There would be only a single question paper of 100 marks. The questions would be multiple choice questions that would assess the subject proficiency and research aptitude of the students. In total, the exam will consist of 100 questions.
As regards the dates of the entrance test, it will be announced within a week of the last date of filling of forms. October 25 is the last date for submission of application forms. All the details are on the website of Lucknow University.

The University will not issue separate admit cards for the entrance test. Candidates have to report to the test venue with a print out of the application form along with valid photo ID proof
There are 30 seats each in Philosophy Course, English, Ancient Indian History & Archaeology, Social Work, Sociology, Sanskrit, and Public Administration. However, in Hindi, there are 30 regular and 20 self-finance seats whereas in Physical Education and Anthropology there are 10 seats each.
