NTA Confirms 2 Attempts for JEE Main 2022
Candidates appearing in the JEE Main 2022 examination will get only 2 attempts unlike the 4 attempts given to the candidates last year. The NTA has also listed the benefits of 2 attempts in the upcoming JEE Main examination on the official JEE website.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that this year the JEE Main candidates will only get 2 attempts, unlike the previous year where the candidates were allowed 4 attempts to secure the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates who have been looking hither and tither regarding the number of attempts they will be provided can verify the details from the official website of JEE Main 2022. The NTA has also revised the JEE Main 2022 eligibility conditions. In the detailed eligibility criteria for this year’s JEE Main examination, the NTA officials have updated the list of qualifying examinations list and the year of appearance in the qualifying examination. JEE Main 2022 Latest Eligibility Criteria Highlights
The highlights regarding the JEE Main 2022 latest eligibility criteria are as follows -
There is no age limit for candidates willing to appear in the JEE Main 2022 examination
Candidates who have completed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or are appearing in 2022, regardless of age, are eligible to take the test
The candidates must meet the age requirements of the Institute(s) into which they wish to apply
Candidates who completed the Class 12/equivalent examination in 2019 or earlier, as well as those who will take it in 2023 or after, are ineligible to take the JEE Main 2022

Benefits of Two Attempts in the JEE Main 2022 Exam
Candidates appearing in this year’s JEE Main examination will benefit in the following manner due to the two attempts -
Candidates will get two chances to enhance their test marks if they are unable to put their utmost effort into the first try
Students will have first-hand experience of taking an examination and will be aware of their faults, which they may correct when they attempt the test for the second time
This reduces the likelihood of dropping a year, and droppers will not have to squander a full year
If a student misses an examination due to circumstances beyond his or her control, he or she will not have to wait a full year
A candidate is not required to attend both sessions. If a candidate appears in more than one session, the best of his/her JEE Main 2022 scores will be considered for the creation of the Merit List
