Age Limit

• Upper Age Limit (General/EWS Category)- 27 years (as on November 11, 2022). 
• Upper Age Limit (SC and ST) is relaxed by 5 years. 
• Upper Age Limit (OBC- NCL category) is relaxed by three years.
• The age limit for PwD- General category is relaxed by ten years.
• The age limit for PwD OBC is relaxed by 13 years.
• The age limit for PwD SC and ST is relaxed by 15 years.

Qualification

• Test takers must possess a full-time degree in engineering or technology in the disciplines provided below with a minimum of 65% marks in B.E/B.Tech/AMIE. 
• Aspiramts must have appeared for the GATE 2022.
• Final-year students can apply if they obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree at the time of joining.

Electrical Engineering

Candidates must have a full-time degree in engineering in the disciplines stated below.

Mechanical Engineering

Graduation in

Marks Required

• The general category must secure at least 65% aggregate, with an average of all four years.
• ST, SC, and PwD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam

Medical Requirement

Exam takers must meet the prescribed health criteria laid down by NTPC. Candidates will have to undergo a medical examination. The decision of the board will be considered final.
