Odisha DHE Releases Wait List for Spot Admission for Degree Courses
- DHE has increased over 7.5% seats for the spot list and the wait list is three times higher than the proportion of total seats available.
- Candidates who are in the wait list must note that the allotment will be done on August 24, 2017.
Odisha’s Directorate of Higher Education or DHE has released the waiting list for spot admission to degree courses in various colleges across the state. DHE has increased over 7.5% seats for the spot list and the wait list is three times higher than the proportion of total seats available. Candidates who could not complete the admission process during the first phase can register for the second phase. The wait list for degree courses is available on the official portal of SAMS (DHE Odisha).

Guidelines to Check Spot Merit List/ Wait List: -
- Firstly, open DHE Odisha’s official website.
- Look for the link called ‘SAMS’.
- Click on the link.
- A new tab opens where you need to click on a link that indicates ‘Degree Admission 2017-18’.
- Look for the tab that indicates ‘Sport Admissions Merit List’.
- A new page opens.
- Now select various details including Subject, Stream, College, Block and District.
- Select only those details that you have filled in the application form.
- Click on the button ‘Show’.
- You can see the waiting list of the respective college and course.
- Candidates who are in wait list must note that the allotment will be done on August 24, 2017.

A total number of 2,34,893 candidates submitted applications for the admission to degree courses in Science, Arts and Commerce streams out of which the maximum were for Science courses. The classes for the first year degree students began on July 24, 2017. The admission process for the academic session 2017-18 will conclude on August 24, 2017.
