Day 2 of JEE Main 2021 (March Session) has been concluded on March 17. Social distancing and Covid-19 guidelines were followed inside the exam hall. Most of the students were clear with regard to the integer-based questions, and there was no confusion on the same. The nearest decimal point was to be marked as an answer. For example, if the decimal point is 5.6, students can mark it as 6, and if the same is 4.4, students can mark it as 4. Compared to the Day 1 exam, most of the students were particular about this rule and answered correctly.

As per the feedback received from students, shift 1 & 2 of 17th March JEE Main 2021 were moderately difficult. Mathematics turned to be lengthy in two shifts, and many students reported this section as difficult. The chemistry and Physics section was balanced with at least 1 question from each topic. The chemistry part was easy in Shift 1 & 2, while Physics was moderate. In all, there were no surprising elements in the paper except for the lengthy questions in the Mathematics section. While Integration had decent weightage from Mathematics in Shift 1, Calculus and Functions dominated in Shift 2. Modern Physics from the Physics section had decent weightage in two shifts, while Physical Chemistry had good weightage from the Chemistry section.

Students appearing for the JEE Main 2021 exam on March 18 must note that Chemistry in Everyday Life, Blocks, Chemical Bonding, Environmental Chemistry and Surface Chemistry will have at least one question each. From Mathematics, Vector 3D, Coordinate Geometry, Integration and Calculus can be prioritized for the last minute revision. Modern Physics and Electrodynamics from the Physics section must be given top priority in the final revision.
