Overall Analysis of JEE Main 29 January 2023 (Day 4)
JEE Main January 2023 Day 4 examination has concluded. Here is the detailed overall analysis of both shifts of the day.
JEE MAIN 2023: Out of today’s two shifts, the overall morning shift was the tougher one-two. There were minor variations in the difficulty level of the individual subjects and changes in the topic-wise weightage distribution. It has been provided below in short pointers, along with links to the detailed analysis. When compared to the past two days, today was difficult, though minorly. Based on the three days of data, the papers of upcoming shifts won’t differ much as the National Testing Agency must try to keep a similar level of papers to provide undue advantage to one shift over another.
An analysis of the 24, 25, and 29 January shifts were made and accordingly, a list of the topics which are likely to hold the highest weightage in tomorrow’s shifts are:

- For today’s papers, the subject-wise difficulty level of both shifts are outlined here in short:
- Shift 1: Physics – Easy; Chemistry – Easy to Moderate; Mathematics – Difficult
- Shift 2: Physics – Easy to Moderate Chemistry – Easy to Moderate; Mathematics – Moderate to DIfficult
- Overall difficulty level of the NAT questions was Moderate
- Amongst the two shifts, the lengthier shift was Shift 1 (Due to Maths)
- The lengthiest section in the morning shift was Maths and that in the evening shift was Maths
- When compared to the previous day 1 and day 2 papers, today’s shifts were (lengthy) and (Moderate).
- Individual topics or chapters that had the highest weightage in today’s papers are listed below:
- Mathematics: Bionomical Theorem, Complex Number, Conic Section, Definite Integration, Differential Equation, Method of Differentiation, Statistics, Trigonometry and many more
- Physics: Circular Motion, Current Electricity, Elasticity, Electromagnetic Field, Electromagnetic induction, Electromagnetic waves, Electrostatics, Heat Transfer, and more
- Chemistry: D-Block Element, Mole Concept, Chemical Kinetics, Atomic Structure, Thermodynamics, Periodic Table Periodicity, Chemistry in Everyday Life, Physical Properties and POC, Biomolecule and Polymer and more
