SSC CHSL 24th May 2022 examination was conducted in three shifts: Shift 1 (9 AM to 10 AM), Shift 2 (12 Noon to 1 PM), and Shift 3 (3 PM to 4 PM). The difficulty level of the overall question paper of Shift 1 and Shift 2 was found to be ‘Moderate’ while that of Shift 3 could be categorized as ‘Easy to Moderate’.

It has been observed in all the papers that the General Awareness Section has been a bit tougher than the rest. One peculiar pattern observed in today’s papers was that a bunch of questions (2 to 5) were asked from a single topic itself which was expected to get 0 to 1 question only. ‘Book Authors’ was one of such topics today. Given this, the candidates are not advised to leave any topic while preparing because although the expected number of questions from such a topic was 1, more questions may appear in the examination and the candidate may lose marks significantly.

Furthermore, in GK section, heavy weightage on Current Affairs of the last 8 to 12 months and static GK was given. The following number of questions were asked from Current Affairs and Static GK in all shifts. It will provide the candidate with an idea about how much emphasis these topics need:

  • Shift 1: Current Affairs – 6 to 7 questions, Static GK – 10 to 12 questions
  • Shift 2: Current Affairs – 8 to 10 questions, Static GK – 7 to 8 questions
  • Shift 3: Current Affairs – 5 to 7 questions, Static GK – 8 to 9 questions

Another important topic in today’s exam was image reflections (mirror) of which 3 questions were seen in Shift 1, 5 questions in Shift 2, and 3 to 4 questions in Shift 3. Similar was the case with BODMAS rule. Shift 1 had 5 to 6 questions on it, Shift 2 had 4 to 5 questions while Shift 3 had 2 to 3 questions.
