During the Syndicate Meeting that took place in April 2018, the varsity accepted the proposal of students to reduce the duration of B.E Chemical Integrated course from 5 ½ years to five years. For ongoing and future batches, the duration of the course is five years. Even though the duration of the course is minimized to five years, the varsity will not compromise with the syllabus.
A committee constituted by the varsity to examine the proposal of reducing the duration of the course recommended to continue the course to avoid revenue loss. If the varsity closes the course, the fee structure for other courses will have to be increased to compensate the revenue loss, indicated the committee.
