Pariksha Pe Charcha: PM Modi Interaction with Students, Parents and Teachers on January 20 (Live Updates)
PM Modi took part in Pariksha Pe Charcha to interact with 2,000 students, parents, and teachers. PM Modi discussed measures for reducing stress in students.
Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi interacted with over 2,000 students, parents, and teachers as a part of Pariksha Pe Charcha today on January 20, 2020. As a part of the third edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha, PM Modi delivered tips to handle exam stress to students, as well as, gave advice and suggestions to parents and teachers. Some of the major highlights of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 has been updated here. Before starting the event, PM Narendra Modi spectated the painting exhibitions prepared by students on different subjects including Indian Culture, Health is Wealth, Save the environment, exam management, Fit India Hit India, Best Teachers in India, etc. Over 1000 students have been present at the hall to listen to PM Narendra Modi, while more than 3 crores students from around the world are listening to the live updates through Doordarshan and All India Radio. The event has been organised as per demanded by the students to conduct the event just before board exams which are going to be conducted in February 2020. PM Narendra Modi started the Pariksha Par Charcha at 11.24 AM. As the opening of the event, PM Narendra Modi wished everyone a happy new year and identified the 10th, 12th students as the new decades of India’s future. Pm Narendra Modi also started the event as #nofilter, signifying the event as a friendly interaction between the PM and the students.

This year, PM Modi advised parents and teachers to take measures for reducing stress in students and take them through PlayStation to the playfield. Some of the major highlights of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0 are as follows:
Change the Thinking Towards Examination
PM Narendra Modi advised children to change their thinking towards the stress of exams. He said that students should not expect a lot from their exam results and should be prepared for failures. He demonstrated the example of Chandrayan and 2001 Ind/Aus Cricket Match to make students understand that everyone has to face some demotivation/disappointment in their lives. However, students should not fear failures and learn from it as it would lead them towards their success.
Exams are not your life, just an Important Phase of Life
PM Narendra Modi advised students to not think of exams as their life. He said that exams should be taken as an important phase of life, but not everything. He demonstrated the example of how a farmer uses advanced equipment to grow to tell students that the future scope is not just limited to one exam or score, but have a lot of possibilities beyond that.
Parents Should Motivate Children and Support them through Failures
PM Narendra Modi conveyed the message to parents that they should support the students through their failures and always motivate them to do better. He said that parents and teachers should understand the student’s capabilities and should not expect more than what he/she is capable of. He said that the parents should not pressurise their kids to score maximum in the exam and build a friendly relation with the students. PM also said that the parents and teachers should understand the strength of their kids and motivate them to enhance it.

Evaluate your Classroom Learnings through Daily Life Activities
PM Narendra Modi also emphasised on the importance of extra-curricular activities in a student’s life. He said that students should evaluate their classroom learnings through daily life activities. He stated that every student should extract 10-15 minutes from daily life to spend on extra-curricular activities of their interest.
Students Should Use Technology for Self Improvement
This year, PM Narendra Modi discussed with students on the use of technology. He said that students should use the technologies at the maximum, but they should know how to use it optimally. He also stated that the students should use the technologies for self-improvement and should stay updated with the latest technologies.
Choose the Best Time to Study
PM Narendra Modi advised students to choose the study time as per their comfort. However, he also emphasised on early morning studies as it is the time when a student’s mind is fresh and they could acquire more information during that.
Free up your Mind During Exams
Narendra Modi appealed the students to read his book “Exam Warriors” to get all the questions answered in terms of exam stress. He said that the students should free up their mind during the exam to avoid going blank during the exams. He further advised the students to focus on themselves and not get distracted by others in the exam. He advised that students should believe in themselves which would hem them get successful in exams.
Understand your Talent and Nurture it
Finally, in context to career development, PM Narendra Modi advised the students to get out of the comfort zone and challenge themselves. He said that the students should only choose a career which they are interested in and have confidence in. He said that the students should understand their talent and nurture it for a successful career. He also advised students to dream about doing something rather than becoming someone in future.

PM Narendra Modi showed his gratitude towards HRD Ministers, School, and teachers from all around India who contributed towards making Pariksha pe Charcha a successful event. He also addressed the students present as the audience as ‘Naya Bharat’ and said that he will continue with the event in the upcoming future to help students manage their exam stress.
