Patna Science College signed a MoU with the UBI (Union Bank of India) in order to facilitate the admissions of the students through online medium. The MoU was signed on 25th April 2016.
The college has initiated the process for a cashless transaction of the admission fee amount.
The Principal of the college principal Dr. U.K Sinha & the bank’s regional head Mr. S.K. Mahapatra has signed a MoU in the presence of the Patna University (PU) VC Mr. Y C Simhadri on the campus of the college.
‘The Union Bank of India has implemented a unique and innovative service known as 'Cashless Campus Project' for educational institutions. This service uses technology for streamlining the payment system and enables the institutions to move fee payments and sundry collections to the online mode,’ said Mr. Mahapatra.
He also added that the college students would now be provided with the facilities of payment through debit or credit cards, internet banking, any branch payment & even the mobile payment services for buying the application forms & depositing the entrance test fee, monthly tuition fee, admission charges, etc.
The scheme adopted at the Patna Science College has been successfully implemented, already in the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University - Bhopal, the Gitam University - Visakhapatnam & all the Kendriya Vidyalayas of the country. More than eleven lakh pupils of Kendriya Vidyalayas have been making online fee payment under the student-friendly scheme, he added.
