After the refusal of Supreme Court to interfere in the matter of Uttarakhand Police related to the alleged paper leak of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) phase 2, the petition was withdrawn. Regarding the same, the court has asked the petitioner to approach the Uttarakhand High Court.

On Tuesday, a plea seeking probe into alleged National Eligibility cum Entrance Exam (NEET) phase 2 paper leak was presented in front of the Supreme Court.

Before listing it for hearing in front of the bench headed by Justice A R Dave, Sanjay Hedge, senior advocate mentioned the petition before a bench of Chief Justice T S Thakur.

A status report regarding the plea filed by Anshul Sharma, a NEET aspirant was submitted in front of the court.

A day before the exam, Uttarakhand Police made an arrest of five people belonging to an inter-state racket.

According to CBSE, the paper for NEET phase 2 was not leaked and it was just an attempt made by people to fool aspirants by making them false promises.

NEET-1 was conducted on May 1 and the NEET phase 2 paper was conducted on July 24. The combined results for both tests were released on August 17.
