Joypur Panchannan College wins the WB Inter-College District Level Football Championship 2016

Prabhu Jagatbandhu College (PJC), Howrah organised the West Bengal Inter-College District Level Football Championship - 2016 on February 8 and February 9, 2016. Football teams of renowned colleges of Howrah district like Narasinha Dutta College, Dr. Kanailal Bhattacharya College, Shibpur D.B. College, Ramsaday College, Ramkrishna Mission Vidyamandir, Uluberia College, Bagnan College, Sovarani Memorial College, Puraskanpur College, Shaympur College, Joypur Panchannan College, PJC participated in the competition. Each and every college played very hard and displayed fantastic skills and energy to achieve the trophy of the championship.

The championship was the gateway contest to be in the list of colleges that will be entitled for the upcoming West Bengal Inter-College State Level Sports Championship-2016, which is scheduled to begin from February 26, 2016 in Kolkata. In the finals, it was Joypur Panchannan Collegewho became victorious and swept out the Howrah district football championship trophy for 2016. The championship was held at P.A.J Club ground near Andul Railway Station in Howrah. Famous former footballer and present Member of Parliament, Prasun Banerjee was present in the inaugural program of the championship. Many eminent persons and professors were also present in this event to encourage their respective college teams.
