Prabhpreet Sodhi from Jalandhar Secures AIR 17 in JEE Main 2017
Prabhpreet Singh Sodhi, an 18-year-old aspirant of Apeejay School Jalandhar, bagged 17th All India Rank (AIR) in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017 examination.
Prabhpreet Singh Sodhi, an 18-year-old aspirant of Apeejay School Jalandhar, bagged 17th All India Rank (AIR) in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017 examination. The Sodhi family is very proud of the success of their youngest son.
Charanjit Kaur, Sodhi's grandfather unveiled that Singh used to study for long hours and worked very hard for the test. After returning from school, he used to go for tuition and then start studying again at home.
When Sodhi was asked if he had expected that he would bag a good All India Rank, he confessed that though he was sure that he would secure a state level rank after cross checking his answers, but however, he didn't expect to achieve a national-level rank.

Prabhpreet's father Jasjit Singh Sodhi who is a Social Compliance Auditor was overjoyed on learning about his success. His mother Vimaljeet Kaur Sodhi who is a science teacher at a government school was elated on hearing the position of her son. His elder brother Simranjeet Singh Sodhi, who is pursuing MBBS course at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi was equally excited.
Prabhpreet aspires to crack JEE Advanced 2017 and make in through to IIT Delhi. His hobbies include listening to music and activities like social networking during his leisure time.
While Prabhpreet Singh Sodhi has bagged the first position in the state and AIR 17 in the JEE Main 2017, Vittal Bhandari of DPS School has secured the second rank in the Jalandhar district with All India Rank 1,558. Vittal Bhandari thanked his mother for her efforts with respect to his studies. He also told that his sister, Nidhi Bhandari and mother, Sonu Bhandari had been his prime motivation.

As many as 49 students have cleared the JEE Main 2017 exam from the Meritorious school in Jalandhar. Principal Massa Singh mentioned that the students worked really hard and will be surely honoured by the school. He further expressed that the maximum number of students who have cracked the exams from Jalandhar are from the Meritorious school.
