GATE CS 2023: GATE 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on February 4, 5, 11 & 12. The Computer Science (CS) exam of GATE 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on February 4. Every year, almost 1 lakh candidates register for the CS paper of GATE, and the competition for admission is pretty high. Computer Science (CS) is one of the most opted papers in the GATE exam after Mechanical Engineering. GATE 2023 aspirants can check the topic-wise weightage of GATE 2023 along with the list of the most important chapters. This year, IIT Kanpur is conducting the exam, and the GATE 2023 paper-wise schedule has already been released.

Here are some additional preparation tips that candidates should note while preparing for GATE CS 2023: 
  • GATE question papers are usually unpredictable and do not have any specific marks weightage. They tend to change every year in a rotational format. Candidates are advised to note the combination of topics with the highest possibility of marks. 
  • Topics Programming & Data Structures and Algorithms are noticed to have a total of 17 to 22 questions each year on average. Candidates may target to cover these topics as a combination to score a minimum of 20 marks from here. 
  • Also, the Theory of Computation and Compiler Design have been noticed to contain 12-15 questions weightage over the past few years. For GATE CS 2023, these topics are calculated to have high marks, so candidates are advised to prepare these topics. 
  • Furthermore, a combination of Digital Logic and Computer Organization & Architecture has been observed to have a high weightage of marks. Around 10-12 questions are expected from these topics, so candidates are advised to prepare accordingly.
