President of India Confers National Award for Child Welfare, ‘Super 30’ Anand Kumar in List
- The President of India awarded fifteen silver and one gold medal to children for achievements in different fields on Children's Day.
- Various individuals were also awarded for their contribution to children welfare including Anand Kumar of Super 30.
On Children’s Day, President of India Ram Nath Kovind conferred the National Child Awards 2017. The awards are given to recognise and celebrate the achievements of children and individuals/ institutions who work for child welfare. This year, National Child Award was conferred to 16 children. Out of them, 15 students received a silver medal and one student received a gold medal.
On the other hand, the National Award for Child Welfare was conferred on five institutions and three individuals. Similarly, Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award was conferred to three individuals.
National Award for Child Welfare (Individuals): -
National Award for Child Welfare is given to deserving individuals and institutions for their exceptional performance in the field of child welfare and development. For institutions, the awards carry a cash prize of Rs. 3,00,000 and a citation. For individuals, the awards carry Rs. 1,00,000 and a citation.

Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Award: -
This award is conferred to individuals for their significant contribution towards service for children, particularly children with disabilities. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, a citation and a silver plate.
