President Pranab Mukherjee Celebrates Teacher's Day
As we all know today is 5th September’ 16 i.e. teacher’s day and the whole country is celebrating it even our President Pranab Mukherjee.
As we all know today is 5th September’ 16 i.e. teacher’s day and the whole country is celebrating it even our President Pranab Mukherjee. Today, Pranab Mukherjee at president’s estate met the student’s of Dr Rajendra Prasad Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. He had a discussion with the students in which he covered following points and students of class XI and XII was part of it.

- India’s development since independence
- Menace of terrorism in the country and across the world

President Mukherjee started his career as a teacher so that is why this day is very dear to him as he believes that it is the only day when hard work of teachers is recognised. He asked all the teachers to work their hardest so their students can do the same and he asked them to encourage the habit of asking questions among students. He said to the teachers present at the moment and to all the teachers out there to promote following values.

At this occasion, the President was given a copy of the booklet Umang 2015 which was released by Manish Sisodia who is the Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi. President Mukherjee also presented National awards to teachers for their distinguished services.
The President also shared his views on IITs and NITs and other institutes that we have in our country. He said that we have to focus more on knowledge than on fracture if we want to be a pioneer in the education world.
