President Ram Nath Kovind to Inaugurate Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate on February 22

' Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate ', meaning science is revered everywhere, is a nationwide week-long series of competitions and seminars for school kids and college students that will be inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday via online means.
"The Union Ministry of Science and Technology has chosen three colleges in Madhya Pradesh to host this programme," said Kapil Deo Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of Rani Durgavati University. "The event will be held in the MP Council of Science and Technology (MPCST) in Bhopal, Rani Durgavati University in Jabalpur, and SGSITS College in Indore. Students from both public and private colleges are eligible to participate, but must first register on the government's website."
MPCST senior principal scientist, Dr PK Digghara, informed reporters that the Vigyan Sarvatra Pujyate intends to engage pupils in scientific knowledge of everyday items and the propagation of scientific views.
"The themes for every day of the programme are different," he said, then continued on to explain the themes per day, which are as stated below:
- February 23: The Annals of the History of Indian science.
- February 24: Milestones of Modern Indian Science and Technology.
- February 25: Swadeshi Paramparik Inventions and Innovations.
- February 26: Science Literature Festival.
- February 27: Science and Technology for the Next 25 Years.
- February 28: Valedictory Celebration.
